Shabbir Ali seeks muslim quota in state jobs
Hyderabad: Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Shabbir Ali has criticised the government for not extending the 12 per cent quota to Muslims in the ongoing large-scale recruitment drive.
In a statement here on Sunday, Mr Shabbir Ali said that by extending the term of Sudhir Commission of Inquiry till March 2016, the TRS government has invented an excuse to delay the implementation of 12 per cent reservation to Muslims in jobs and education.
“Muslim students already lost two academic years and job aspirants did not get the 12 per cent share in the ongoing recruitments through the TSPSC and other agencies,” he said.
Mr Shabbir Ali urged the CM to constitute a BCs Commission to implement his promise.
“The so-called expert committee headed by IAS officer Sudhir, whose term was extended, does not have any legal sanctity and it is not empowered to recommend any reservation,” Mr Shabbir Ali said.
