Will free Tamil Nadu from alcohol, corruption: Anbumani Ramdoss
Tirunelveli: The PMK’s youth wing leader and former Union minister, Dr Anbumani Ramdoss declared that his dream was to make Tamil Nadu vibrant and free it from corruption and alcohol.
Speaking at the PMK’s south zone conference here on Sunday, he said that he shared this dream with the people, especially women and youth, who were fed up with the two-party rule in the state for about half-a-century now.
Charging the DMK and AIADMK with being responsible for the present plight of the state on all fronts, Anbumani promised free essential services like education and health if PMK was voted to power in the 2016 Assembly polls. ‘However I will never continue the freebies being implemented by the AIADMK,’ the PMK’s Chief Ministerial candidate declared.
Further speaking about his party’s tireless attempt at the U.N., Anbumani said that the chief minister has passed a resolution in the Assembly on the Sri Lankan Tamils issue for namesake. She should have sent representatives to the UN HRC had she been “true” to the State Assembly resolution, he observed.
“Nevertheless, I spoke (at the UNHRC meet) about the resolution passed by the State Assembly,’ said Anbumani Ramdoss. Speaking candidly about the case against him over giving permission to two medical colleges in the North, when he was the Union Health minister, Anbumani said that it was not a corruption case but just a procedural mistake.
