MCI wants all foreign docs registered

Doctors would be held responsible if they failed to register

Hyderabad: The Medical Council of India has asked organisers of medical conferences to get foreign doctors registered before they attend conferences or perform surgeries in the country.

The MCI has taken a strict view as despite there being a registration process in place, not many follow it.

The notice sent to all hospitals also warns that organisations and doctors would be held responsible if they failed to register and the consequences if anything went wrong would have to be faced by them.
