Direction not my cup of tea: Asif Ali

Asif Ali, who recently turned producer with Vinay Govind’s Kohinoor, is excited about the new title and says he feels very much at home handling production and acting together, calling it “the most comfortable way of working for an actor.”

Does the actor also harbour direction dreams? Asif gives a resounding ‘No’ and says direction is where he draws the line. “I will never turn to direction! I think a director’s role is the toughest part to play in film-making and it requires a great deal of hard-work and dedication. I don’t think I will be capable enough to handle that role. It’s just not my cup of tea,” he says. Asif is currently shooting for Rajamma at Yahoo and also has Adventures of Omanakuttan in the pipeline.
