Prajin pins his hopes on upcoming film
Most of the VJ-turned-heroes were rejected in Tamil cinema
Except a few stars like Sivakarthikeyan and Santhanam, most of the VJ-turned-heroes were rejected in Tamil cinema. Some of them still pursue their goal tirelessly, such as Prajin, who is who is pinning all his hopes on the film Pazhaya Vannaarapettai, which delves on the lives of residents of North Chennai.
The movie has two more male leads, namely Richard who is currently shifting between Kollywood and Tollywood, and Nishanth. Interestingly, the film has only one lead girl — Ashmitha. Karunas has been roped in for a key character. Talking about the film, director Mohan says, “It’s a political thriller set in the backdrop of North Chennai and is based on real life incidents. Most of the movie has been shot during nighttime. I have attempted a new way of narration.”
Gana Bala and Velmurugan also appear for a song sequence, which was rendered by them. Says Prajin, “This is a significant film in my career and it has come out very well. I hope that Pazhaya Vannaarapettai gives me the right break.”
