Everyone knows Dhanush’s penchant for using titles from his father-in-law superstar Rajinikanth’s oeuvre for his own flicks. His films Polladhavan and Padikkadhavan are examples of this. And now, the National Award winner has chosen yet another Rajinikanth title from the early eighties.
His latest venture produced in his home banner with working title VIP 2 has now been titled Thanga Magan. The film has two ladies Samantha and Amy Jackson as his romantic interests. Thanga Magan was a 1983 sleeper hit starring Rajini. The much awaited first look posters of the film are finally out.
Cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Velraj, who debuted with Dhanush’s commercial hit, Velai Illa Pattadhari, directs this venture. Dhanush is said to be sporting two different looks in the two halves. The movie also features Radhika, KS Ravikumar and Satish in prominent roles and the actor’s lucky mascot Anirudh Ravichander composes the music.
