After Kajol, Aishwarya and Anushka, are you happy with Aditya's new pick?

Vaani Kapoor has been roped in for 'Befikre' opposite Ranveer Singh

Mumbai: Only last week, YRF announced Ranveer Singh as the lead actor of Aditya Chopra's directorial 'Befikre', and now they have announced Vaani Kapoor as the films' leading lady. Just like Ranveer, in this video, Vaani is seen sharing her memories with the production house.

It's been two years since Vaani made her debut with 'Shudh Desi Romance' and things didn't turn out the way she pictured it. However, Aditya Chopra convinced her to have faith and wait patiently for the right offers to come her way. She waited and waited but finally bagged one of the most prestigious project.

Here's introducing the lead actress of 'Befikre'.

Aditya created much hype after he announced his fourth outing 'Befikre' but we wonder if Vaani is the perfect choice. The director has given blockbusters like 'DDLJ', 'Mohabbatein' and 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' and created magic with Kajol, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anushka Sharma.

In 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge', the debutant director perfectly brought Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol at the backdrop of a realistic family setting and we instantly fell in love with them.

Tradition, honour and discipline – these were the ingredients chosen to create the perfect Gurukul boys. But along with that, Aditya also gave us the most mesmerising performance by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' portrayed love in its purest form and it also introduced Anushka Sharma. Though the film didn't go down well with critics, it did work wonders for its leading lady.

Will 'Befikre' change the perception the audience has about Vaani, who played the role of a simple girl next door in her debut film 'Shuddh Desi Romance'? The film starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra left us untouched, unamused and cold. Even though Vaani had ample screen time, she failed to impress us.
