Hyderabad: The Telangana government is planning to take over the Hyderabad Race Club at Malakpet and run it after bookies were found evading payment of commercial tax.
Commercial tax minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav said the government had sought legal opinion on the plan. The minister said commercial tax officials had raided the club recently and seized Rs 51 lakh in cash.
