Telangana cites legal hurdles in regularisation
TS employees argue that when AP government can overcome legal issues, the same can be done here
Hyderabad: What angers the TS staff most is that the AP government has regularised the 80-day period when its staff went to strike to oppose bifurcation of the state in 2013, by treating it as special casual leaves.
The TS government is claiming legal problems in regularising the strike period following the then AP HC directions which ruled ‘no work-no pay’.
TS employees argue that when AP government can overcome legal issues, the same can be done here.
Law minister A. Indrakaran Reddy said, “There is no need for employees to worry about this. The TS government is committed to regularising the strike period.”
