Hyderabad: Union minister for science and technology Harsh Vardhan on Saturday said that many NRI scientists are willing to come back to India after witnessing the growth story under PM Modi. Heaping praise on Mr Modi, he said the Prime Minister was propagating science like a social movement.
Harsh Vardhan was speaking at the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) after interacting with industrialists and entrepreneurs. He spoke earlier at the CCMB annexe-II after dedicating the facility to the nation. CCMB’s annexe-II will house the Common Research and Technology Development Hub (CRTDH), a clinical research facility, with focus on stem cell therapies and the nanotechnology lab for research in drug delivery using nano particles.
The CRTDH will help startups develop biological products for commercial use in return for a fee. CCMB director Mohan Rao said, “Already about 12 companies have registered with CRTDH. Startups can use our equipment and labs.”
