Hyderabad: The State Institute of Correctional Administration adjoining the Chanchalguda central prison is going to get a spa and nature cure treatment centre next week. Not only the general public but also prisoners can avail the services.
The prisoners will render the service at the centre at half the market price. Prisoners will also get the facilities at reduced rates. There are already three prisoners who are trained to give therapies. More prisoners are being trained. The two rooms that have been provided for this initiative will be inaugurated by Anurag Sharma, DGP Telangana.
V.K. Singh, DG Prisons and Correctional Services said, “The objective of this initiative is to focus on preventive measures through nature cure. Through this we are giving encouragement to alternate medicine.”For the time being, only male prisoners will be allowed. There is no restriction on the number of times one prisoner can go to the centre. “This initiative is in collaboration with Kapil Healthcare. It will provide prisoners more opportunities once they finish their jail term,” added Mr Singh.
