HMDA names 15 city realtors

The HMDA has already issued notices to the developers and criminal cases will be booked if layouts are made along with demolition
Hyderabad: Over 15 realtors have been identified by the HMDA authorities, having unauthorised layouts in Raigiri and Kunuru village of Bhogir mandal. Realtors want the government to come up with various hubs and the land to turn prime property and thus sell plots of layouts that have not been permitted by HMDA, state its officials.
For every purchase the customer must get clarity from the HMDA office on approved layout. Over 240 acres of illegal layout at Kunuru was razed on Oct. 8 and over 16 illegal layouts were demolished.
HMDA enforcement wing DSP, K. Manmohan Rao said, “The HMDA jurisdiction is of 7,200 square kms, covering five districts, Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda, Medak and Hyderabad. For every layout HMDA permission is a must, otherwise HMDA will identify it as illegal and demolish it. Either from HMDA or permission from Director Town Country Planner is required. The gram panchayat has no power to issue layout permission. Some realtors have sought permission from the GP between 1981 to 1985 and the same is shown to the buyers. However it is an invalid layout. On Oct. 8 a team visited Bhongir mandal and found 16 unauthorised layouts and all were demolished. For any private land or any land expect government, developers must seek permission from HMDA or DTCP.”
The HMDA appeals to people to double check before investing in plots. Without permission HMDA is not processing any layout and the customers will lose out on money by purchasing these plots in HMDA jurisdiction. More than 150 layouts in Raigiri village of Bhongir mandal have been identified and will be demolished phase wise.
The HMDA has already issued notices to the developers and criminal cases will be booked if layouts are made along with demolition. So far no cases have been booked but notices have been issued to the identified realtors.
