Andhra Pradesh signs MoUs for eight tourism projects worth Rs 1,240 crore

Bliss Hotels signed an MoU to establish star hotels at Tirupati

Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh government on Saturday signed agreements with private players to take up eight tourism projects with an investment of Rs 1,240 crore.

The Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) were signed by Principal Secretary (Tourism) Neerab Kumar in the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

S L World, Mumbai signed an MoU for Rs 800 crore to establish amusement, water world parks at Vijayawada, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam.

Sai Priya Beach Resorts signed the pact to establish a beach resort at Rishikonda in Visakhapatnam with an investment of Rs 50 crore, an official release said.

"VSNL Estates Private Limited signed an MoU to start five and three star hotels in Vijayawada with an investment of Rs 300 crore. Poli Sunitha signed (pact) to start a wayside restaurant at Kadapa with an outlay of Rs 5 crore.

"Bliss Hotels signed an MoU to establish star hotels at Tirupati with an investment of Rs 8 crore," it said.

Naidu asked the private companies to complete the projects within a stipulated period as agreed, it added.
