Chennai: Actor R. Sarathkumar, president of South Indian Artistes’ Association (SIAA) and founder of All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi, has filed a criminal defamation complaint against actor Vishal, who is contesting the association election for the post of general secretary, for making malicious remarks against him during the campaign at several places.
Sarathkumar filed the complaint before Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S. Ganesan. Recently, he issued a notice to Vishal asking him to tender apology. Vishal replied he was not ready to apologise. Hence, the complaint. The CMM adjourned the matter to October 12. Vishal told DC that he would face the case legally.
