The Bollywood heartthrob is the new 'tourism ambassador' for India
Mumbai: Bollywood star Sidharth Malhotra has been roped in as the New Zealand's tourism ambassador for India. The 30-year-old 'Brothers' actor will be the first Indian ambassador for the country's tourism campaign.
An excited Sidharth said that he was looking forward to visiting the nation and exploring its beauty and culture.
"I have heard from my friends about the many activities that New Zealand has to offer and I am very excited for this trip. I'm a traveller and New Zealand has so much to offer," he said in a statement.
And rightly so, the actor ransacked his closet to find the perfect outfits to carry with him on this short trip. He even sought professional help from a few stylists to keep his wardrobe up to date as he embarked on this exciting journey.
"I am gearing up for some hard core adventure such as Skydive, SkyWalk and diving, and I can't wait to experience the local wildlife in New Zealand. I have also heard extensively about the food and wine, Maori culture and other unique experiences that the country offers."
Steven Dixon, Regional Manager - South and South East Asia at Tourism New Zealand called Sidharth dynamic and said the country is gearing up to surprise him at every step.
"From adventure activities to food and wine experiences, local culture to luxury indulgence, New Zealand is gearing up to surprise Sidharth at every step of his journey. We look forward to hosting him and making him feel at home in New Zealand," he said.
Fans can expect the actor to keep them posted about his whereabouts, as he will be documenting his visit, via Twitter posts and Instagram pictures. Before boarding his flight, the actor tweeted a picture of himself with a message that read: Excited to visit this beautiful country New Zealand as their tourism ambassador for India #NzMustDo #SidNZ let's go!
