Hyderabad: The statewide bandh call given by the Opposition for October 10 is likely to only have a partial impact. The day is a second Saturday — a holiday for many Central and state government institutions.
The official Bathukamma and Dasara holidays for schools will start from Saturday. Public utilities like transport may run as usual on Saturday as the major unions are not supporting the bandh.
TSRTC Telangana Mazdoor Union general secretary E. Ashwathama Reddy said buses would run as usual on Saturday, some services might be affected as many employees unions are affiliated to the Left parties which is supporting the bandh.
