Four CoBRA Jawans injured in naxal attacks in Chhattisgarh
Naxals ambushed a team of CoBRA commandos belonging to 208 battalion
Raipur: Four commandos of CRPF’s elite battalion, CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action), were on Thursday wounded in two separate attacks by Naxals in Chhattisgarh’s south Bastar district of Sukma.
According to a senior district police officer, Naxals ambushed a team of CoBRA commandos belonging to 208 battalion when the latter were conducting search operation in Tetri forest under Bhejji police station, injuring three troopers.
The injured have been identified as Sharada Prasad, Chinmoy Lenka and Mridyu Pandy. They were airlifted to Raipur for treatment. Similarly, a CoBRA commando, identified as Mohan Patil, was injured when he stepped into a pressure bomb.
