1. Aishwarya Rai fell in love with Abhishek on the sets of J.P. Dutta’s Umrao Jaan. At times, the duo went missing from the sets for hours, much to Dutta’s anger. Once, Dutta got so angry that he ripped Aishwarya’s costume to shreds.
2. Ash and Priyanka Chopra are arch rivals. The fallout was after Priyanka stole Ash’s role in Bluff Master. Years later, Piggy Chops again stole her item song in Ram Leela.
3. Aishwarya and her Jazbaa pair Irrfan Khan got along like a house on fire. Irrfan’s straight-faced humour had the star in splits several times.
4. Shabana Azmi and Ash share a special bond since their roles in Umrao Jaan. On the sets of Jazbaa too, they were very close.
5. Ash also loves to sing for those close to her. The actress apparently has a great voice.
6. Ash has a huge collection of souvenirs from almost every place she has ever visited. Her home, Jalsa, is strewn with antiques.
7. Aishwarya makes it a point to not spoil Aaradhya by getting her whatever she asks for. Unlike Abhishek and grandparents Jaya and Amitabh, the disciplinarian mum knows where to draw the line.
8. Aishwarya contributed a lot to the dialogues in Jazbaa. Rumours claim she’s also set to direct a film.
9. Ash plans to arrange a show of Jazbaa for her favourite director Sanjay Leela Bhansali when he gets a day off from the sets of Bajirao Mastani — a film which was originally planned to have her and Salman Khan as the lead pair.
