Amazon has rolled out a pilot project to provide zero interest vehicle loan

Hyderabad: In an attempt to improve its logistics and delivery, Amazon has rolled out a pilot project to provide zero interest vehicle loan to its delivery associates for buying Mahindra Jeeto.
“Under this scheme the delivery associates, who on the rolls of Quess, can enroll for the programme for a minimum period of five years and secure zero down payment and zero interest loans to buy Jeeto,” said Amazon India’s director transportation Samuel Thomas. Quess is a delivery partner of Amazon, which undertakes deliveries.
Currently, the scheme applies to delivery associates in Hyderabad only. Amazon plans to extend this offer to other cities later. According to Ama-zon, the four-wheelers will help it deliver more products. Currently most delivery staff use two-wheelers.
“The timeline for loan reimbursement is two to three years and after that the associates can retain the vehicle. Jeeto will help in making bulk deliveries faster and safer,” Mr Thomas added.
