Sheena murder: CBI likely to question Indrani on joint will with Peter Mukerjea
Mumbai: As the Central Bureau of Investigation prepares to question prime accused in Sheena Bora murder case, Indrani Mukerjea, a crucial aspect will be the joint will prepared by media tycoon Peter Mukerjea with his wife Indrani. The CBI is likely to examine the will prepared by the couple between 2013 and 2014, which according to an Indian Express report states that the document says all properties attached to either of the two spouses shall be passed on to the other in case either of them die.
“The Mumbai Police had recovered a copy of the will, which was made after Sheena’s death. This was handed to us when we took over the case from them. We have learnt it was Indrani who insisted Peter make the will. We want to know if there was any hidden motive in doing so,” a CBI official was quoted as saying.
The report also said that at the time of Sheena’s death, there was only Rs 15,000 deposited in her bank account.
Earlier, the special CBI court in Mumbai accepted the CBI’s application and allowed it to interrogate all three accused in jail in connection with the case. Indrani, her former husband Sanjiv Khanna and driver Shyamwar Rai will be questioned almost a month after the investigation of the case was handed over from the Mumbai police to it.

Though the CBI had requested the court to grant it blanket permission to question the accused in jail for the consecutive weeks so that it did not have to approach the court repeatedly, metropolitan magistrate R.V. Adone granted it permission for 12 days only.
The court said that CBI could interrogate the trio till October 19 (the day when their judicial custody ends) and if the probe agency feels the need for further questioning, it may move a fresh application on that day.
The agency had sought at least three weeks to interrogate the accused in jail and after hearing arguments from all sides the court had reserved its order on CBI plea till Wednesday. On October 5, the metropolitan court had extended the judicial custody of all the accused till October 19.
