Congress, TD invite CM Chandrasekhar Rao's ire
Hyderabad: Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday lashed out at the Opposition parties for blaming the 16-month old TRS government for farmer suicides.
Speaking in the Assembly, Mr Rao reiterated that the agrarian crisis and farmer suicides were the result of nearly six decades of misrule by successive governments in Undivided AP on irrigation and agriculture fronts and the TRS government was trying to rectify them.
He said the government never intended to suspend the Opposition members from the House, but with their unruly behaviour, they themselves created a situation that warranted action.
He said, “They came to the House with the sole agenda of stalling proceedings with unrealistic demands. No one can stall the House. We know how to run the House. It’s shameful that they are now going to districts with ‘bharosa yatras’ to “instil confidence”.
