Dadri lynching: UP police file FIR against Union Minister, BJP MLA
Lucknow/New Delhi: Ending all speculation over whether Mohammad Iqlakh’s death was a “cold-blooded murder” or an “accident” as claimed by some ministers in the Narendra Modi government after the horrific lynching incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Dadri district, the Akhilesh Yadav government Tuesday sent a detailed report to the Union home ministry.
The report confirmed that Iqlakh was killed by a “mob of people belonging to a particular community” who accused the victim of the “slaughter of a prohibited animal”, and forcibly entered his house around 10.30 pm on September 28-29 night, beat him up and damaged his property, after which he was rushed to hospital in Noida, where he succumbed to his injuries.
