Chhattisgarh: Asaram Bapu’s ‘sex tips’ for kids
Raipur: A controversial book advising school students in a Chhattisgarh district through “teachings” of disgraced godman Asaram Bapu against sexual indulgence in life has once again landed the Raman Singh government in acute embarrassment.
The development comes barely a week after Chhattisgarh government ordered a probe into a move by a “spiritual” organisation to hold a competitive examination among school students in south Bastar district of Kondagaon based on “teachings” of self-styled spiritual leader Asaram Bapu.
The book “Divya Prerana-Prakash”, containing a message of Asaram Bapu, has been distributed among Class X students in state government-run schools in east Chhattisgarh district of Mahasamund by a purported spiritual organisation, to prepare them for a competitive examination based on it.
The Book gives sex education from page two in form of interactive sessions involving philosopher Socrates, wherein it has advised the kids to have copulation only once in life.
“If someone opts for sexual indulgence in life, he should be reminded of philosopher Socrates’ teachings,” the book said.
“Sexual appetite is never satisfied. It renders one’s life useless and devastated”, the book commented.
On page five, there is a message by Asaram Bapu to parents of the students. Mahasamund district education officer Rakesh Pandey admitted that the book has been distributed.
