Amazon to remove listing of Apple, Google video-streaming devices post October 29
The move aims to promote products that fit with Amazon’s own retailing strategy
Well Amazon has played the trick! From a recent update by BloombergBusiness, it has been known that Amazon Inc plans to discontinue the sales of media streaming devices manufactured by Apple and Google, which are not easily compatible with its video services, the Prime Videos.
Therefore, the sales of Apple TV and Google’s Chromecast will be dropped, and the existing inventory will be removed post October 29.
Roku’s set-top device, Microsoft’s Xbox and Sony’s PlayStation, which work with Amazon’s video service, will not be affected.
