Hyderabad: A woman died in a road accident here on Monday while her husband was seriously injured when a bus hit the bike they were riding. The mishap happened in front of the Saroornagar police station. Police said K. Tulasamma, 50, and her husband K Govind Reddy were residing at Cherukuthota colony. Around 3pm, the couple were riding on their bike towards Malakpet. When they reached near the police station, an RTC bus hit their bike.
The bus was coming at a ‘high speed’, and Tulasamma lost her balance and fell off the bike. The bus ran over her, said Saroornagar Inspector B. Srinivas. Tulasamma died on the spot, while Govind escaped with minor injuries.
