Nicole Kidman was not invited to her daughter Isabella Cruise’s wedding, even though she was staying nearby, it has been claimed. Isabella wed her boyfriend of less than a year, Max Parker, in a small Scientology ceremony at London’s upmarket Dorchester Hotel last month.
Her father Tom Cruise is said to have funded the 22-year-old hair and make-up artist’s intimate nuptials, and there are conflicting reports as to whether he was there. But Nicole was not on the guest list and, according to Page Six, didn’t even know her adopted daughter was tying the knot — even though she was in London preparing for her appearance in Photograph 51 on stage in the West End. A source told the New York Post, “The wedding was a Scientology ceremony. Nicole wasn’t there — she didn’t even know about it at all.”
They claimed the ceremony on September 18 had been organised so Tom could attend, as he was in Europe at the time. Initial reports suggested the couple didn’t want either sets of parents to attend. Even Isabella’s brother Connor did not attend in a bid to keep the wedding out of the limelight.
