Aditya Chopra casts Ranveer Singh in his small-budget film 'Befikre'!

Mumbai: On Yash Chopra's birthday (September 27), Aditya Chopra announced to return as a director with his upcoming project ‘Befikre -Those Who Dare To Love’. Soon, several names of Bollywood stars started doing the rounds on the internet, but it's Ranveer Singh who has bagged the role!

Ranveer started off his journey as an actor with YRF. Five years ago, Aditya Chopra broke the news of casting Ranveer in his project 'Band Baaja Baraat'. The news was so overwhelming that he went down on his knees and started crying but Aditya assured him that he will be able to pull off the role. And after five years, history repeated itself as Aditya finalized Ranveer for his next directorial ‘Befirke’. Here’s what Ranveer has to say.

While announcing the project, YRF shared a note of how the film was conceptualised, through an imaginary dialogue between Aditya and his late father whom he called his "go to guy". Aditya called this film, his toughest one till date, "I started writing it for fun while I was writing my most ambitious script. I thought I’ll give it to one of my directors and I’ll just produce it. But I enjoyed writing it so much that I knew half way that I’m going to direct it myself."
