Hyderabad: The city police is focusing on high-speed bikes as part of its anti-chain snatching drive.
Hundreds of bikers have been stopped in various parts of the city. Bikes without valid documents and with improper number plates have been confiscated.
Bikes like Bajaj Pulsar and Honda Unicorn were stopped by the traffic police as part of the drive. Cases have also been booked against users who did not have valid documents. On suspicion, a few vehicles and riders were also handed over to the law and order police for further verification.
The drive was started following an order from police commissioner Mahender Reddy after the recent series of chain snatchings in the city.
