In Bihar, Sonia taunts NDA on Nagpur links
Patna: As the countdown for the first phase of polls began, political parties launched ‘carpet bombing’ campaign for the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.
A day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Banka district terming chief minister Nitish Kumar as “arrogant” and the grand secular alliance responsible for the “rise of Jungle Raj” in Bihar, congress president Sonia Gandhi while addressing a rally in Kahalgaon at Bhagalpur attacked the BJP-led NDA on the issue of reservation on Saturday.
While addressing her first public meeting in Bihar after poll dates were announced Mrs Gandhi took a dig at the BJP accusing them of taking advice from the RSS on the matter of governance “match between Nagpur (RSS) and Delhi (BJP) has been fixed and we are aware of this”.
Speaking on the issue of reservation policy she urged people to vote in favor of grand secular alliance to save themselves from “nefarious design of the BJP and RSS” she asked people to vote in favor of a clean imaged chief minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar, she said “BJP is trying to roll back the policy of reservation but Congress party is committed on the issue and will never let that happen”.
Describing Bihar polls as crucial she attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue of development package calling him “an expert of Packaging and repackaging”.
“For Congress promises for development are not just political jumla (slogans) it’s a dedication of last 60 years we are committed towards it, she said addressing a rally Wazirganj of Bihar.
