Andhra Pradesh writes to Centre on local status

Hyderabad: The issue of giving local status in education and employment to the children of AP government employees who would be shifting from Hyderabad to AP state is awaiting final nod. The matter has been referred to the Union government, which is yet to issue a directive in this respect.

Following a state Cabinet decision, the government had written to the Centre seeking relaxations in a six-point formula to give local status to the children of employees who shift from Hyderabad to AP between June 2, 2014 and June 2, 2017.
