Police is verifying if the army men were drunk

Hyderabad: Army men attacked a police constable following a road rage at Langar Houz on Saturday night. The victim, B. Sunil Kumar, a police constable from Abids police station, sustained injuries on his head and was rushed to a private hospital. The army men, who rammed their bike on to the constable's bike, hit the victim with a helmet repeatedly and escaped from the spot, police officials said.

Police is verifying if the army men were drunk. Both victim and te accused were not on duty and were in civil dress when the incident occurred. The incident took place near Pratap theatre when the victim was going on a bike with his friend. “Sunil and his friend Ravi were going on a bike and their bike collided with Army men's bike. It led to an argument and a subsequent fight. The accused used a helmet to hit the victim, who is now in hospital with an injury,” said the Asif Nagar ACP Mr D. Srinivas.

Following the victim's complaint, Langar Houz police booked a case against the accused Army men. However, no arrests have been made so far. Police said that efforts were on to identify and catch the suspects.
