Microsoft may also launch a tracking device on October 6
Microsoft has already sent out invitations for an event on October 6, where it is expected to unveil new devices that run on Windows 10, its latest operating system. Microsoft is expected to unveil devices such as the Surface Pro 4 tablet, the Microsoft Band 2 wearable fitness tracker and the latest Lumia smartphones at the event.
Other than that, according to Windows Central, Microsoft is also expected to launch a mobile tracking accessory, which is a shade of Nokia’s Treasure tag. The device has been codenamed Valora and helps users to track objects they attach the device to. Essentially, the tracker is a tiny device that can be attached to keys, wallets and other objects to make sure you never lose them. It syncs your smartphone with the specific object via NFC or Bluetooth and then alert you in case you misplace it.

Needless to say this finder accessory is geared mostly towards the Lumia line and will evidently work on current Windows Phone 8.1 devices with Bluetooth LE enabled. However, for a wider market, Microsoft may soon roll it out for Android and iOS users as well.
