&TV’s Deal or No Deal is a family game show not involving any stunts but unfortunately for celebrity contestant Sunil Grover, it turned out to be one involving an injury. Sunil was on the show along with a family of look-alikes of Bollywood actors. He broke into a little jig during the show and ended up falling flat on his chin, thus injuring himself. He said, “Yes, minor accidents keep on happening. I don’t even know how I tripped, but it wasn’t too bad.”
New kid on the block
Satvinder Singh aka Tony who used to work as a radio jockey in London, makes his TV debut in Zee’s Lajwanti. He plays the negative lead. Speaking about how he got the role, Tony says, “My station manager in London had some connections in Bollywood. He suggested I should return to India and try my luck in the industry. I was hanging around in Andheri, Mumbai when I saw some men in turbans and struck up a conversation with them in Punjabi. That’s how I got to know about the auditions. I auditioned and got selected.”
The actor reveals that while he didn’t watch Hindi soaps in India, he got hooked to them in the UK. “Desi dramas are very popular in the UK. That’s where I got hooked to them.”
A dance off between the best
Prabhu Deva and Akshay Kumar will be on Remo D’souza’s show Dance Plus over the weekend. We hear the duo danced on Muh Kala, Mukabla O Laila.
Prabhu Deva, who was supposed to be there for a little while, ended up staying till for the entire shoot and danced with each contestant.
