The team of the Rajinikanth-starrer gangster flick Kabali, is currently on floors in Chennai, and the latest we hear is that the shooting will begin in Malaysia from October 19. It’s being said that the schedule will last for a month. Sources close to the film unit say that the cast and crew will be in Malaysia till November 19. We also hear that the makers had initially planned to shoot for an extended period in Malaysia, but had to change plans in the last minute and decided to shoot only for a month. Rumours are abuzz that the remaining portions will be shot here in EVP World and Adityaram Studios. Directed by Pa Ranjith, the film also features Radhika Apte, Kalaiarasan and Dhanshikaa in important roles.

The latest to join the cast is Ritwika, who essayed a role in Karthi-starrer Madras. Sources say that she will be seen playing a character with negative shades, quite contrary to what she did in Madras — however official information is awaited. Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film is expected to hit the screens on April 15 next year.
