Chiranjeevi to star in the remake of Kaththi?
The Tollywood megastar will reprise Vijay’s role in the Telugu remake of AR Murugadoss directed Kaththi
If the industry grapevine is anything to go by, Telugu megastar might star in the untitled Telugu remake of Tamil blockbuster Kaththi. The film, which is expected to go on the floors later this year, will mark Chiranjeevi’s much anticipated 150th film in his career.
We hear that the actor has given a nod but is yet to sign the project. Sources say that he’s waiting for some changes to be made in the script to suit the taste of Telugu audience. The actor is currently shooting for a cameo in son Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee — The Fighter. It is heard that VV Vinayak will be directing the remake and it will be produced by Madhu.
Rumours are abuzz that Ram Charan has bought the remake rights of the film but nothing has been confirmed yet. An official announcement on the same is awaited. Initially, the remake was planned with NTR and Pawan Kalyan, but since both of them didn’t show much interest, it finally fell into Chiranjeevi’s lap, and he immediately grabbed the opportunity. If everything goes well as per the plan, this will be the second time that Chiranjeevi and Vinayak join hands — the first one being Tagore, the remake of Vijayakanth-starrer Ramana.
