Hyderabad: A 1-kg stone thrown at a house in Phanipura, Karwan, at about midnight on Wednesday created a scare in the area. Residents claimed that this had been happening for around two years now.

As rumours spread of a “divine spirit” being involved, Goshamahal ACP K. Ram Bhupal Rao visited the area on Thursday. “It is not stone pelting. A stone was thrown by someone in the neighbourhood. The incident had happened last month too around the time of Amavasya and it repeated again yesterday,” said Mr Ram Bhupal Rao.
“There is nothing to worry and it is just a small incident,” he said. Police is counselling the locals.
