Artist M. V. Ramana Reddy has been unanimously elected president of the Hyderabad Art Society (HAS). Reddy said, “I thank all the HAS members for their trust on me and on our panel. This win had given us more responsibility. The platinum celebrations of HAS is coming up. We are planning to celebrate with statewide art shows. We are inviting all artists, art lovers, art admirers, corporate and the media to support us in this.”
Established in 1941 by Nawab Salar Jung, the Hyderabad Art Society is one of the oldest art organisations of the country.
The all-India art exhibition organised by the society every year has been a big platform for eminent artists of the country.
