Salman roots for Palak, makes her voice of Sonam

Not many know that getting Palak Muchhal to be Sonam Kapoor’s voice in the title track of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo was Salman Khan’s idea. The team had another singer in mind but Salman who is fond of Palak and supports her charity recommended her instead.

The star has taken the singer under his wings and says she will be a permanent feature in his films. Speaking about his protégée, Salman says, “I thought why not give such a great singer a chance to sing this number? Plus, the money (that Palak makes) is going to a great cause (as she runs a charity). So I make sure that there is something for Palak in every film.”
