AE Recruitment: PSC to meet tech college heads

TSCHE approached for help to hold talks on holding exams
Hyderabad: The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) and the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will meet the principals of private engineering colleges on Thursday before the upcoming TSPSC recruitment tests for assistant engineer posts in government departments and for manager (engineering) in the Hyderabad Metropoli-tan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMW-SSB).
The meeting gains significance in the context of the first recruitment exam held on September 20 which was held online. But the first test was marred by hung computers at a centre on the outskirts of the city and the top brass of the TSPSC even believed it to be a conspiracy.
A committee is probing the incident. In this context, the TSPSC has for the first time requested the TSCHE to help in holding discussions with private engineering colleges for the smooth conduct of the two upcoming exams.
About 60,000 candidates are expected to appear for the AE recruitment exam while 90,000 hopefuls are expected to appear for the HMWSSB manager (engineering) posts. Both are offline written examinations.
But the TSCHE is also likely to suggest to the Telangana State Public Service Commission to hold the exam in government and private degree colleges rather than in just engineering colleges.
