Google spills Nexus prices for India

The Google Nexus devices are not yet available, but the prices are listed online

Google announced the two Nexus devices; LG’s Nexus 5X and Huawei’s Nexus 6P and priced them at $379 and $499 respectively. The prices for the Indian market were not announced. However, the devices were listed on the Play Store with the Indian value, but under the Chromecast device listing, the Nexus prices were highlighted. The Google LG Nexus 5X is priced from Rs 31,900 onwards, while the Huawei’s Nexus 6P is priced from Rs 39,999 onwards. Both the devices will be shipped with Google’s latest Android operating system, the Android Marshmallow v6.0.

LG Nexus 5X:

The LG device will sport a 5.2-incher full HD LCD display panel with a Snapdragon 808 chipset featuring 1.8GHz hexa-core processors and an Adreno 418 graphics processor with 2GB of RAM. The internal storage will be available in two variants—16GB and 32GB. The rear camera is equipped with a 12.3MP sensor, while the front camera incorporates a 5MP sensor. Features that make the Nexus tip higher are the fingerprint sensor and the Type-C reversible USB port. The device is a single SIM (nano) LTE smartphone with a 7.9mm thick body weighing in at 136g. Lastly, the Nexus 5X will be fuelled by a 2700 mAh battery and will run Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Huawei Nexus 6P:

The Huawei phablet will sport a 5.7-incher 2K AMOLED display panel with a Snapdragon 810 chipset featuring 2.0GHz octa-core processors and an Adreno 430 graphics processor with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage will be available in three variants—16GB, 32GB and 128GB. The rear camera is equipped with a 12.3MP sensor, while the front camera incorporates an 8MP sensor. Other features that the Nexus 6P highlights are the similar to the 5X with a fingerprint sensor and a Type-C reversible USB port. This device too is a single SIM (nano) LTE smartphone with a 7.3mm thick body weighing in at 178g. Lastly, the Nexus 6P will be fuelled by a 3450mAh battery and will run Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Apart from the two smartphones, Google also announced a tablet with the Nexus series. The Google Pixel C is a 10.2-incher 2K display tablet with an octa-core Nvidia Tegra X1 chipset sporting a 256-core Nvidia Maxwell GPU and coupled with 3GB of RAM. The device too sports the Type-C USB reversible port and the prices start from $499. An optional smart keyboard will also be available, priced at $149.

At present, there is no information about the availability if any of the products in India.
