Deliberate or unintentional? Satya Nadella wipes hands after handshake with Modi
New Delhi: A video where Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is seen wiping his hands seconds after a handshake with Prime Minister Narendra Modi has gone viral on social media.
The incident took place at the Digital India dinner during the PM’s visit to Silicon Valley, where he had interacted with top CEOs. In a video recorded at the event, the Microsoft head brushes his hands in a gesture that looks like he is wiping off dust. But it is not known if the gesture was deliberate or out of habit or just unintentional.
The video started making the rounds on popular social networking sites Twitter and Facebook and many users have accused Nadella of insulting the Prime Minister, while others took digs at the Microsoft top boss for suffering from OCD. Some users have come to the CEO’s defence, interpreting the gesture as stemming from social anxiety.
