Father halts wedding to make a touching gesture towards daughter’s stepdad

It’s often said that a step parent is much more than just a parent, after all they made the choice to love when they didn’t have to. Todd Bachman understood this very well, which is why he made a touching gesture towards his daughter’s stepdad at her wedding a few days ago.

When the time had come to walk Brittany down the aisle, Bachman surprised the guests by stopping the ceremony. He ran to the front row and grabbed stepdad Todd Cendrosky’s hand so that both of them could share the honour of walking their daughter down the aisle.

The heart-touching moment was captured by Ohio-based wedding photographer Delia D. Blackburn, whose Facebook album of the Ohio wedding has garnered more than one million ‘likes’. “Families are what we make them...make it about your kids and not your ego,” Blackburn wrote in the Facebook post.
