PIL seeks probe into encounter

The police failed in conducting the post mortem of the bodies in accordance with the norms and guidelines of the NHRC
Hyderabad: A PIL was moved before the Hyderabad High Court on Monday by Chilaka Chandrasekhar, civil liberties activist seeking a CBI probe into an encounter in the forest area near Tadwai mandal of Warangal district, in which two alleged Maoists were killed recently.
The petitioner alleged that the police picked up Sruthi alias Mahitha (23), native of Waddepally, Hanamkonda and an engineering graduate, and Vidyasagar Reddy alias Sagar (32), native of Dharmasagar mandal of the district and later the police killed them near Tadwai forest after brutal torture.
The petitioner also alleged that the police failed in conducting the post mortem of the bodies in accordance with the norms and guidelines of the National Human Rights Commission.
