Mission to make citizens tech-enabled: PK Kunhalikutty
Kunhalikutty launches Appskool, a school-centric mobile application
KOZHIKODE: Industries and IT minister P.K. Kunhalikutty on Monday launched a school-centric mobile app created by a group of young techies here.
The Edufeed Appskool is freely available on Google Play as well as Apple’s iTunes.
The ‘nearby school’ facility in the app helps the user to trace or track the happenings in the schools in their area or any other institutions in a particular district.
A brainchild of Hisham Ali, Mubarak Ahamed and Nabeel Ali, the app provides the details like their email ID, contact numbers, location map and address.
“It’s indeed a great honour that our young techies have made a significant contribution to our education sector. It helps students, teachers and the public update themselves with the latest developments,” the minister said.
He said the state was all set to launch a major initiative to make the state a model for digital literacy.
“Our state is already a digital state, and the next mission is to make each of the citizens technologically and digitally enabled,” he said.
