The song will be Shruti’s fourth number this year

It was reported earlier that the actress-singer had lent her voice for the song Yendi Yendi from the Vijay-starrer Puli. We now hear that the actress is singing for Vedhalam, as well, in which she stars opposite Ajith, which is expected to release during Diwali.
A source says that Madhan Karky will pen the lyrics for the song, and that it will be a female solo number. If everything goes well, the song will be Shruti’s fourth number this year. She had already crooned for two B’town flicks earlier this year. The song, which features Ajith and Shruti, was apparently shot some time back in Italy. The film directed by Siruthai Siva is expected to have its music launched in the second week of October.
