Hyderabad: Mr P.V. Chandran of Grihalakshmi (Matrubhumi Group) has been elected president of The Indian Newspaper Society for 2015-16 at its annual general meeting held here. He succeeds Mr Kiran B. Vadodaria of Sambhav Metro.
Mr Somesh Sharma (Rashtradoot Sapthaik) is the deputy president, Ms Akila Urankar (Business Standard) is the vice-president and Mr Mohit Jain (Economic Times) is the honorary treasure of the society.
Mr V. Shankaran is the secretary general of the society. The members of the executive committee include Mr S. Balsubramaniam Adityan (Daily Thanthi), Mr L. Adimoolam (Health & The Antiseptic) and Mr K. Raja Prasad Reddy (Sakshi, Vishakhapatnam).
