Man hangs self over delayed marriage in Coimbatore

For the last several years, he had been asking his parents to arrange for his marriage
Coimbatore: A 34-year-old man committed suicide over a prolonged delay in getting married in Coimbatore. Police said Vethandra Singh from Rajasthan was depressed as he could not find a suitable girl to get married.
"For the last several years, he had been asking his parents to arrange for his marriage. However his parents could not find a matching bride for him," police said.
A depressed Singh had committed suicide in his room on Saturday. On receiving information, the Saravanampatty police went to the spot and sent his body for post mortem at the Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH). The police have registered a case and further investigations are on.
In another incident Sudish, 29 from GCT Nagar in Vadavalli, who rears cattle, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his cattle shed on Sunday morning. Police said Sudish had consumed liquor with his friends on Saturday night and then left to his cattle shed where he was found hanging.
His relatives who had gone to the shed informed the Vadvalli police who held investigations at the spot. Police are yet to divine the reason behind his suicide under mysterious circumstances.
