BJP should clarify stand on Sri Lanka: Congress
PUDUKKOTTAI: Senior Congress leader and former Union minister of state for Parliamentary affairs V Naraya nasamy has urged the BJP Government at the Centre to clarify its stand on the issue of international court of law enquiry against war crimes by the Sri Lanka Government.
Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Mr Narayanasamy strongly condemned the reported directions of the RSS to cancel existing reservations for SC, ST and MBC categories and said that the Congress party would launch a nation wide stir against this. Referring to the recent reported agreement between India and Sri Lanka during the visit of Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickramesinghe, on India providing training to Sri Lankan soldiers, he alleged that this was a ‘big betrayal of the Tamils’ and wondered why other political parties of Tamil Nadu were silent on this vital issue.
