8 more farmers commit suicide in Telangana

Four of them are from Nalgonda district

Hyderabad: Eight farmers ended their lives on Sunday, four of them from Nalgonda district.

In Karimnagar district, Suddala Gangaiah, 38, of Ragampet, lost his paddy crop in two acres and was facing Rs 3 lakh debts. Bodukam Gangaram, 55, of Machapur ended his life after his multiple attempts to dig borewells, which led him into debt trap.

In Nalgonda, cotton farmer Yadaiah, 40, of Gurrampodu, Laxmaiah, 45, of Choutuppal and Hanuma Reddy, 60, of Vemulapalli mandal and Gangula Ramulu, 55, of Appaj-ipeta ended their lives due to farmer distress. K. Siddiramulu, 23, of Chinnashanka-rampet electrocuted himself while Pochaiah, 65, of Nagapur hanged himself after crops dried up.
