Ramki back with a comedy thriller

A few years ago, Tamizh Padam with Siva in the lead, which was a spoof of Tamil films, created a huge buzz. We now hear that a horror thriller named English Padam started shooting recently. The movie, directed by debutant Kumaresh Kumar, has yesteryear hero Ramki making a comeback in a crucial role. Sanjeev of Kulir 100 Degree fame and Meenakshi who made a promising debut a few years back, but vanished from K’town, are playing the romantic leads.

Talking about his character, Ramki, who is sporting salt-and-pepper look with a grey beard says, “I am neither the hero nor a villain in English Padam. It is an intriguing role and I am confident it will take me to the next level.” Though young and talented Sanjeev has acted in more than seven films, he is yet to get the due recognition. The actor hopes English Padam will do the necessary trick.
